Black Sabbath's third album, released in 1971, saw the Birmingham heavy metal pioneers down-tuning their guitars even further, resulting in a slower, heavier sound that would prove enormously influential on the genre. The record includes standout tracks "Sweet Leaf" and "Children of the Grave," alongside the acoustic instrumental "Embryo" and the haunting "Solitude," showing a broader range than the band often gets credit for.
