Description

Spoken-word artist and genre-defying musician Dan Whitlam announces his highly anticipated debut album, Strangers (Again) - a 14-track odyssey that cements his place as one of the country's most compelling new voices. The project sees Whitlam expand his world both sonically and emotionally, balancing soulful piano-led moments, broken beats with his signature blend of lyrical honesty and melodic sensitivity, delivering a sound that feels both intimate and expansive.
Featuring collaborations with Raphaella, returning collaborator Tamzene, Saphire, and Jordan Akampa, Strangers (Again) captures the duality at the heart of Whitlam's work - poetic storytelling set against forward-thinking production. Each track reflects on connection and distance, weaving together moments of emotional depth and release. The newly announced album follows the success of Whitlam's recent EP Mama Said It, which solidified his reputation as one of the UK's most singular new voices and one to watch. Beyond music, Whitlam recently released his debut poetry collection I Don't Want To Settle: Words for a Lost Generation - a candid and resonant exploration of growth, heartbreak and belonging that mirrors similar themes found throughout his upcoming record. This October and November, Whitlam will embark on his biggest headline tour to date across the UK, Europe and North America. Following acclaimed, sold-out shows at London's KOKO and various venues across the nation, Dan is quickly becoming known for his emotionally charged performances and lyrical vulnerability, the tour promises to offer an immersive experience of the world he's built - one that continues to blur the lines between poetry, soul and contemporary music. A full list of tour dates can be found below. An undeniable rising star, Dan Whitlam enchants listeners with his soulful vocals and emotive lyrics, weaving a tapestry of emotion. Hailing from London, his innate ability to capture raw sentiments has garnered admiration, and several millions of views across platforms such as TikTok and Instagram. He has since graced sold-out stages nationwide, receiving support from BBC 6Music and being praised by the likes of Fred Again.. and Arlo Parks. Dan has also made waves within the fashion-sphere, being endorsed by powerhouses such as Hermes and YSL. Keep your eyes peeled for more from Dan in the coming months.
