Condition

Here's a Canadian treasure that often gets overlooked in The Guess Who's catalog, but shouldn't be. "So Long, Bannatyne" marked a pivotal moment for Burton Cummings and the band, recorded during their creative peak just after "American Woman" had conquered the charts. The album title itself is a farewell to Bannatyne Street in Winnipeg, where the band cut their teeth in the local scene before achieving international success. What makes this release particularly compelling is how it captures The Guess Who at their most experimental tracks like "Rain Dance" and "Sour Suite" showcase a band willing to push beyond their hit single formula into more complex, progressive territory.
